Welcome to Open Tab
Running a business with 47 tabs open (and not one of them says “holiday booked”)
There’s the tab for messages you haven’t answered.
The tab for your online banking (that you open, sigh at, and close again).
The “must do today” list.
The “already forgot I said yes to that” list.
And let’s not even talk about the tab marked “Instagram content planner.”
Somewhere in the middle of all that, there’s another one
The “someday” tab. The “maybe I’ll come back to this when I have a minute” tab.
This blog is that tab.
Why I Created Open Tab
Because when I was running my business, absolutely flat out, I couldn’t find anywhere that actually got it.
Everywhere I looked, it was people yelling advice online or pretending their business was perfect.
Meanwhile I was trying to figure out how to get more clients and whether I had enough in the account to pay the VAT.
I didn’t need a slogan.
I didn’t need a 6-step funnel.
I needed someone to say:
“Here’s what’s actually going on and here’s what to do about it.”
So that’s what I’m doing here.
What You’ll Find on Open Tab
Real stories about running a business (the stuff no one talks about)
Tips you can actually use without needing a marketing degree
Reassurance that you’re not the only one who feels like this
Quick reads, real solutions, and the odd laugh (because if we don’t laugh, we’ll cry)
You’ll hear bits of my own story too not the shiny version, but the real one. The bits where I nearly gave up, and the things I finally figured out that made a difference.
Why It’s Called Open Tab
Because life as a business owner is full of tabs
Open invoices. Open questions.
Open conversations with yourself at 2am.
This tab?
It’s the one that’s just for you.
The one that doesn’t expect anything from you.
Just a quiet space to breathe, read, and think:
“Right. That makes sense. I can do that.”
You’re not behind. You’re not the only one struggling to figure it all out.
You’ve just never had support that felt like you.
Until now.
Pop the kettle on. Bookmark this.
Come back when you need a bit of space and something real to read.
With love,
Aisling x
